Accepting the truth, instead of running away with lies.

John 14:6. “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

I made a lot of excuses for my life growing up, I don’t think I did it intentionally, I believe that growing up, that’s the tactic I used as a child, to keep sane.

I’ve been wondering a lot about the decisions that children choose to make while growing up, and am curious just to how much they ever grow out of it.

My one blunder in not accepting life’s truths could have kept me trapped in this small world I had created in  my head. I was blessed enough to have someone burst my bubble, do you have someone who constantly helps burst yours?

We live in a world filled with lies, we live in a world that is so messed up, that in  order to cope, I find adults making excuses for the way their life is. Why are they unhappy, why they stay at the job they can’t stand, why it’s okay for their parents to treat them certain ways. When I meet people, I see chains around peoples minds, trapped, unable to see how much they have already given up, have you?

When we become a Christian, it’s not just accepting that Jesus Christ died for your sins, and that’s it. It’s about continually allowing the Holy Spirit to come in, change, renew your life. The world around us, as we come closer to God, will start to flip around. If your not amazed at just how opposite the world we live in, then you must still be living and breathing in the world of compromise. That’s not always your fault, our Pastors live in that world too, it’s the Holy Spirits job to reveal the truth, will you allow the Holy Spirit to reveal that truth to you?
